Marketing Content Specialist
Description:
Zilliant is seeking an experienced marketing specialist to assist with content development for a variety of purposes — from whitepapers and solution slicks to webinars and sales decks. Were looking for an strong communicator and conceptual "translator" — an effective storyteller, who can make complex concepts understandable and compelling at the same time. The successful candidate will be a prolific self-starter, who can work effectively with minimal supervision.
Areas of involvement and responsibility include:
- Development and production of door-opener content for lead generation
- Development and production of cultivation-funnel content and materials
- Development and production of educational whitepapers and case-studies
- Development and production of marketing slicks and solution overviews
- Development and production of presentations, webcasts, and webinars
- Writing, editing, and publishing web content to Zilliant's online portals
- Writing, editing, and publishing email newsletters and lead-gen offers
- Writing and editing articles and content for external media publication
- Coordinating the placement of strategic content with external media
- Converting standing presentations and whitepapers into additional formats
- Managing and developing Word and PPT templates for collateral materials
- Writing and editing promotional materials and content for trade publications
Highly-desirable skills, knowledge, and experience include:
- Writing and content development processes — needs assessment, concept prioritization, storyline development, research and interviewing, draft creation and refinement, etc.
- Understanding of marketing, advertising, and direct-response principles — headline development, compelling and motivational copywriting, response drivers, etc.
- Experience developing content in a variety of formats — whitepapers, articles, brochures, PPT presentations, audio/visual webcasts and webinars, web-pages, emails, and so on.
- Competency with various software tools and marketing systems — Eloqua, Salesforce.com, Camtasia, Powerpoint, Word, Acrobat, Paint, etc.
- Collaborating with groups and individuals — working closely with internal groups (Sales, Product Management, Solutions, Science, etc.) and subject-matter experts to develop content.
- Experience working with complex, technical, and somewhat esoteric subject matter.
- Knowledge of basic graphic design and desktop publishing is a plus.
