Zilliant Deployment Wins Global Award within
Schneider Electric
Manufacturer Leverages Price Optimization to Offset Material Inflation
Austin, TX - April 8, 2008 - Zilliant announced that Schneider Electric has awarded its Zilliant-based pricing initiative a global “new2 Trophy” in the Growth category. Schneider Electric, a $24 billion global company, uses Zilliant Precision Pricing Suite (ZPPS) in its North American businesses to align its pricing with market dynamics. The Zilliant project was selected from hundreds of submissions worldwide because it delivered significant, measurable improvement in Schneider Electric’s pricing efficiency and effectiveness. In particular, ZPPS Optimization enabled Schneider Electric to maintain market alignment despite significant material inflation.
"The purpose of new2 Trophies is to share and recognize the best practices of Schneider Electric teams all around the world," said Kristin Johnson-Holz, vice president of marketing for Schneider Electric’s North American Operating Division. "Our Zilliant initiative is truly one of the 'best of the best.' With Zilliant, we are more responsive to the tens of thousands of customer quote requests we receive each month, and do a better job keeping our prices in line with market dynamics. These capabilities have been especially beneficial in dealing with extremely volatile material costs over the last year and a half."
Schneider Electric is one of the world’s largest suppliers of equipment used for electrical power distribution in residential, industrial and commercial buildings. The company is also a leading provider of industrial automation and control. The new2 Trophy program reflects its focus on three strategic priorities: Growth, Efficiency and People.
"The results and recognition achieved at Schneider Electric typify the experience of all of our customers – significant benefits for customers, management, sales people and shareholders," said Greg Peters, Zilliant CEO. "We commend their project team and leadership on this transformational pricing initiative, and are proud to have provided the enabling technology and science."
