Lead a highly skilled and experienced technical professional services team. The group includes a variety of roles and skillsets including architects, consultants, developers and quality assurance professionals located in the US, UK and Europe who serve customers worldwide.


Technical Leadership. As the most senior technologist in our Professional Services team, collaborate with the functional competencies to help us deliver timely, high quality projects with a healthy margin.  Develop complimentary methodologies/tools and techniques that accelerate and simplify deployments and result in predictable solution performance and stability. Lead the creation of a set of tools to support the deployment methodology. Engage with projects, as needed, to guide team members during implementation of new product functionality and specialized customer needs.  Be an escalation point for challenging implementation issues.


Personnel Management. Responsible for direct management oversight of the Professional Services Technical team. Structure the team’s size and roles to match business needs. Define the skills and responsibilities for each role and assess the skills of each team member. Build the team’s management leads. Manage the group’s project allocation, billable utilization across group and individuals. Provide individual coaching and feedback as needed. Identify the training needs of the team to support best practices and introduction of new product functionality.


Sales Support. Collaboratively engage with the Zilliant Sales team to work with prospects to provide best practice and solution design input.


Collaborate with Product Team. Collaborate with the Engineering and Product Management teams to provide prioritized product roadmap feedback.  Through this close collaboration, also serve as a channel for diffusing new product capability out to your team. Be a channel for product issues.


Methodology. Develop the tools and processes to ensure high quality outcomes across the variety of technologies used by Zilliant’s Technical Professional Services team members.


Travel – Involves 15% travel.


Required Experience:

Leadership and Management Experience

  • Lead technical team for professional services for a SaaS software company or have lead a technical team/practice/competency within a a top tier System Integrator firm
  • Manage teams of multiple roles spanning the full configuration cycle e.g. Consultant, Developer, Quality Assurance
  • Manage offshore resource teams
  • Manage teams across multiple countries, time zones and cultural backgrounds

Methodology and Quality Oversight

  • Oversee quality throughout project lifecycle via process and tools
  • Define team structure and oversight management team
  • Coaching team members on client-facing interactions on solution design


  • Lead technical team in system integrator professional services team, lead professional services technical team within enterprise SaaS software vendor, or similar experience
  • Ten+ years of relevant consulting or services experience, preferably with enterprise SaaS Implementation project

Technologies and Tools

  • Firm understanding of high capacity data ingestion tools and techniques
  • Design and configuration of automated, programmatic system integration / data exchange tools and techniques

Education and Skills

  • Technical undergraduate degree. Prefer Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related, or comparable experience
  • Excellent communications skills



Preferred Experience:


  • Agile development methodology
  • Excellent understanding of data modeling techniques and tools
  • Excellent understanding of designing for performance and performance tuning
  • Experience with data science techniques and tools
  • Experience with pricing applications a plus

  • Machine learning technologies
  • AWS data management stack e.g. AWS Redshift, Redshift Spectrum, S3, etc.
  • Data Management tools e.g. BOOMI, Mulesoft, Matillion, Informatica, etc.
  • Data visualization applications e.g. Tableau, Microstrategy, Microsoft Power BI, etc.
  • Job Orchestration tools e.g. Run Deck, ActiveBatch, IBM Workload Automation, etc.
  • Force applications e.g. Salesforce CRM, Salesforce CPQ, Conga, FinancialForce, etc.
  • Strong SQL Server or similar RDBMS development skills with big data exposure

Education, Skills and Awards

  • Graduate degree in technical field
  • Salesforce certifications
  • AWS certifications
  • High achiever awards in prior roles
  • Speak French, German, Spanish, or Ukrainian




Team Management

  • Recruit, review and release team members, as needed
  • Maintain skills matrix
  • Oversee onboarding and team training

Ensure high quality work from the team

  • Conduct code reviews (instruct and delegate)
  • Methodology: update and refine technical sessions of methodology documentation and supporting tool & templates
  • Documentation: Instructions on how to configure key functionality
  • Knowledge Base: develop a knowledge base of commonly encountered issues and resolutions

Engage with projects as needed

  • Guide team members on projects due to specialized needs
  • Escalation path

Represent project needs to product group

  • Work with product management and engineering on feature requirements
  • Filter, prioritize and communicate critical Product Engineering Support issues
