AUSTIN, Texas, Apr. 20 2016 – Zilliant, a leading provider of prescriptive selling applications that drive financial growth, was named a finalist for the Innovative Applications in Analytics Award by the Analytics Section of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS).
 
The Innovative Applications in Analytics Award recognizes the creative use of advanced analytical techniques in real-world applications to provide insights and business value. Zilliant’s application was chosen from a multi-level review and selection process spanning dozens of submissions from a wide range of industries. Other finalists included groups from IBM and MIT.

Zilliant’s entry, “Driving Organic Growth with Zilliant SalesMax,” detailed a customer’s success with one of the company’s applications, SalesMax, a patented sales effectiveness application. SalesMax helped FleetPride, a leading supplier of aftermarket heavy-duty truck and trailer parts in the U.S., improve same customer sales by more than 20 percent compared with its previous sales process. The application identifies organic revenue growth opportunities across companies’ entire customer base, funneling the best ones to reps in a simple, closed-loop program.
 
SalesMax uses a patented data-driven algorithm to reveal the complete portfolio of products that customers should be buying as well as where recent buying patterns suggest churn. It reliably profiles each customer’s purchase patterns by clustering them based on dynamic, multi-dimensional similarity metrics, and then converts purchase profile gaps into retention (churn) and expansion (cross-sell) opportunities. As a true prescriptive application, SalesMax also distributes these selling opportunities using closed-loop, cloud-based applications for sales reps and managers, pointing them to the customers most likely to buy more products.
